how many plecos in a 125?

Right now i have one pleco in there hes maybe 4" how many plecos should be in therE?

Depending on what kind, 1-100.

I'd do something nice that won't outgrow it.

common plecos can outgrow a 125. If you keep up on water changes, you could keep a couple commons in there with minimal issues.

ive noticed he likes my RTC he always sucks on him lol he doesnt do any damage though...none yet...but it looks pretty funny

A guy was selling his common here at a size of 2'for 400 Euros.
They can become quite big, but its gonna take time!
My biggest pleco is 10" now but is not thrilled by my 8" pseudacanthicus.
They fought pretty bad several times but now are cool with eachother.
Please tell your pleco to stop sucking on the RTC!!
It will progress into serious wounds that may be hard to treat!

I had 2 commons in my 120 which should be the same lenth and width(6'x16" or 18" sorry cant remember). Took them 7 years to get to 17" before I let them go.

The sucking on the RTC is not good. It will take off his slime coat which protects him from parasites and other things.

Yeah you don't want the pleco sucking on the RTC's slime coat. This usually means its underfed/malnourished.

Is this a grow out tank? b/c as i'm sure you've heard, RTC's will outgrow a 125 before long.

My old RTC ate a 6" green phantom. he was about 14" at the time. When I bought him, less that a year earlier, he was smaller than the pleco.
