how many can i keep in there???
and is it possible to use it als a breeding tank for rays??
i was planning to keep Potamotrygon reticulatus:) i was thinking of 3 or a pair?

thnx everybody who ansers ;)

Gallons are secondary what is the dimensions, that is what makes the difference

US Gallons or UK Gallons? I think you will be able to keep more rays than you would have said above.

Carl.

Yeah, to be able to give you better answers we need to know the demensions of your tank. Cause that sounds small for any ray, but if it has a big foot print it may work.

i cant much on this matter but i have 3 in a 100 gal, but my guess from the sounds of everyone else's tank, 3? get 2 females and 1 male

None for life..

Some of the smaller species as juveniles.. Lack of gallonage will cause water quality issues as well..

A 4 x 2 x 2 tank will hold a few small rays for a while, however, breeding age rays would need a larger enclosure. There are a few people that have bred rays in a 125 gallon tank that is 6 x 1.5 x 2...but that is pushing it I feel.

i leave over 2 years from home to live on my one :naughty: and then i can buy a bigger tank :headbang2 but can i keep 3 rays for 2 years in this tank ??

thnx roel

Your location may be very beneficial. See if you can contact Andreas Ochs. He breeds scobina in Germany and often has pups for sale. They are the smallest species of stingray and some pups may do very well in a tank with those dimensions (this tank is actually almost 5' x 2').
