I've got two brown senegals right now that I'm going to be moving into a 55 tomorrow. Is it possible to add a third(albino long finned)?

Ok great! Thanks. I was also toying with the idea of getting a ropesnake as they look so cool and fascinating!
I'm not exactly what one may call an expert but from what I understand snakefish grow quite long and would require a tank larger than 55 gallons. Here is a site I find very useful for information on different Polypterus species. http://www.polypterus.info/profiles.htm

Nah man, all those sizes are Record breakers. We will never see that in the home aquarium. Althow some Poly's need a tank larger then 55G such as Ornates and the Upper jaw kind, Senegals will do just fine in a 55G.

reed/ropefish should do ok in your 55 as they generally max out at 15"-18" in captivity and are very slim and flexible
No problem with adding a third and a ropefish. Now you're stuck with a bottom heavy tank.. time to plan for upper strata fish!
