I have had my Trimacs just under 6 months and they are on their 6th spawn.... Was wondering what's the most spawns in a row that anyone has had with theirs ,Trimac or any type cichlid in general.....

I would like to second that you have a very nice pair.....2-3 weeks is what I would say is a fast turnaround ..do you pull any fry? Or see any reason why they spawn as they do?....yours are averaging 21+ times a year...I wonder if mine will pick up the pace lol..i really just started to notice that mine spawn so far roughly right in the middle of each month...my fry disappear after about 10 days or so then it is time to for me to keep close eye as the Male gets very aggressive with the female...so far on the 150 gallon there has been room enough for The female to avoid the Male, and has been able to not get in serious trouble,but I keep a divider ready...less than a week after the fry disappear the female goes into spawning color and they begin again...seems like she goes into spawning color a good while before she is actually ready,seemingly to stop the males aggression.....
My pair used to spawn once every 2 months when they were younger. But eventually the male got tired of fry being in with him and now he eats them as soon as they are free swimming. I pull a handful out every couple spawns to grow them out but if I did that every time I'd have 1000 umbees at least once a month and I don't want an army lol
