I have 1 100 gallon and 2 10 gallons.

Is it possible to just have one tank?

Me. And it's a small one. But I'd say it's not even remotely "force of will" but lack of funds.

having just one tank takes discipline, but if that one tank is 250+ gallons, it's highly possible. i think that most of us buy multiple tanks because spending the money for one very large tank is difficult to do. most of us get some money and want to go out and buy a tank rather than save that money for the one big, monster tank.
