How many times a year does a Jag lay eggs?

This is the third time this summer my jag has destroyed the whole tank and laid eggs. I was just wondering how many times a year she will do this. 120 gallon by herself water is 80 degrees FX5 filtration. Any help is appreciated

my pair just spawned and from what ive read they can lay more eggs once a month roughly but im not sure if that would apply to a solo female.

If you have a pair they arfe able to breed every 3-4 weeks

Yeah I dont know what to do I dont want fry so I am not going to try and get a male and I am sick of having a pissed off fish tearing up my tank. When she is guarding the eggs I cant even put my hand in there.

Female cichlids lay eggs pretty readily, and cichlids in general will guard eggs aggressively.

She will probley do it around every 4 weeks i understand wear you are coming from though, Ive got a pair and when they breed and the fry are free swimming my female will jump out of the water when im feeding them and try to bite me.

If you really dont like it maybe get rid of her and just have a Male Jag.
