I am not sure if this would work but i have herd you need 100 gal per koi, but if you have Japanese koi you would need probably more due to the fact that they get very large if raised correctly. Other types of koi such as from korea and other places like that only reach 24 to 24.5" and stay relatively smaller.
Well, I have 60 koi, the smallest is 18". They are in a 10,000 gallon pond. I two huge filters with two 8000 gallon an hour pumps and I run aerators. They have never gotten sick. They have grown steadily every year. I keep them out there all year (michigan). I don't have an algae problem. I don't use any chemicals. This is not the setup I would recommend for someone who does not want to do a lot of maintenance. It would be perfect for half that many.
I have a small 1000 gal with 10 koi from 4 of them being 8inch 3 to 12inch the rest over 18inch i turn the water over 8 times a hour . So if your getting 30 koi go for a 3000 gal pond well filted thats what i would do good luck
