Hey guys i have a 60 gallon tank and im wondering how many RBPs' i can put into it withoit them eating eachother. help plz

60g i would go with a single Serrasamus like Rhomb, Sanchezis, manny etc...not pygo. IMO.

I agree. But if you really wanted RBs. I would do 4 and if ur lucky you will have 3 left.

A few years ago I had 3 reds in a 75g, approx 3", it wasn't long until 2 of them were picking on the other 1, came in one night to find just his head remaining, unfortunately that's Piranhas for you! I upgraded to a 125g and had 2 Terns and the 2 remaining Reds in there for a year without any problems though, so it all comes down to luck, but the more you can space out the aggression the better your chances.


I'd say depending on the size you want, if you're getting babies, go for 4, but obviously when they start to grow an upgraded tank will be required, or the sale of one.
