The ones I know about are Large mouth, small mouth, spotted, black, white, rock, redeye (coosae), peacock, I know there are a lot more than this but it's all I know.
Here is a link to check some of them out. You can also do a google search and find tons of articles on bass.
I think the most common and easiest to get is the large mouth then the small mouth would be the next in line. Rock bass are easy to get out of creeks.

Peacock bass are cichlids...

There are probably hundreds of different types of fish with the word "bass" in their name...are you looking for black bass, true bass, sea bass, or what?

Coosae, Guadalupe, Suwanee, Largemouth, Spotted, Smallmouth, and Shoal. There are however minor strains of the coosae and suwanee that may be split up into their own species. Google those names and you should get all the pics you are looking for.

If you get a small bass it can start off in a smaller aquarium but they grow fast and eat a lot. There are a lot of people on here that have them and they usually recommend a 100+ gallon aquarium for large mouth bass.

There are subspecies of Largemouth (Florida and Northern), Spotted (Alabama and Normal), Smallmouth (Neosho{or Ozark} and regular smallmouth) that I know of, plus in some areas they have alot of hybrids (in the Ozarks we have alot of Smallmouth/Spotted hybrids in some areas); but that is a good post on the main categories.
