HOW MANY AFRICAN'S SHOULD I HAVE IN A 75 GALLON TANK ? RIGHT NOW I HAVE 11 ABOUT 1 1/2 " - 2 1/2 ".

Depends on there maximum size, but they can get aggressive, and need their own space. I would stick with what you have.

Yea it definetly depends. Most recommend 1 inch of fish per gallon (keeping in mind the adult size.) But I have a 90 gal african tank that is way overcrowded....I have almost 30 fish that are all around 4". But I do frequent water changes and have lots of hiding spots so the aggession isnt too bad. So they're all healthy. So ultimately it depends.

depends most on what type of africans you are gonna get. some smaller mbuna, or large haps?? if you go the smaller mbuna option, 30 ish would be possible. i have a 90g with a 55g sump, holds about 40g of watter and i currently have 38 ish in there, 16-18 demasoni, 10 sp. orange caps, and 5 perlmutts with 7 more comming in a few weeks. after they grow im going to add some yellow labs i have as well. but if your going big, large haps like venustus, or something from another lake like fronts (which i wouldnt recommend) you cut the number down drastically.

As was said all depends on the type. For some you really can't keep less than ~12 of a type to keep them from killing eachother. Others are fine to have smaller groups off. Anyways no one can give you more info till you say what fish you have in there right now. (But just so you know most people say for mbuna overstocking if anything is a good idea, of course you need to keep up on the water changes.)

Mbuna is also a very big term. Different mbuna have different requirements. Some are more aggressive than others and require more space. Sometimes overstocking can cut down on aggression. It all comes down to the mix and what is working for you.

Also depends on your layout.............I have tons of slate and rocks in my 125 gal african setup...............these type of fish need hiding spaces (read territory..), so add some rock, unless you are doing a bare bones tanganika setup you need those hiding spaces!!!!!!!:)
