ive had dorados in the past and there mean as all get up. are brycons as bad? looking to mix with arow,gar,rck and a ray
how mean are brycons?

or if brycons are no good any suggestions? i would like 3 or 4 red tail cudas but i dont have the patience to grow them out. slow growers
I have only been able to find a few different brycon species for sale and the ones that I had became more vicious as they put on size.They were in a 180 so space may have been an issue but they seemed to be worse than dorado in terms of overall meanness.
Agreed, freakin mean fish.
Kept 2 since 2inches, When small they are still manageable. Once they hit 5"-6" they start chasing my masheers and barbs. They took all the filament out of my filament barbs.

I keep 2 Brycon Dentex in my community barb tank. At first they were a bit scrapy with each other. One would constantly chase the other but now they get along somewhat with an occasional nip as the pass each other. They get along with all my other fish only long slender fish that resemble them in shape they may nip at passing by. But nothing serious.
