ok i have a 125 gallon tank with a DIY trikle filter with 5 drawers (the bottom 2 drawers are empty for water, the top 3 have media) with a pond pump thats pushing around 1200 gph. any tips or suggestions would be heplful, thanks (V)FK!

One gallon bio balls per 45 to 60 gallons of water. Some say one gallon bio balls per 40 to 45 .....I have a 220 gallon tank and I used 8 Gallons of bio balls. I would say about 4 gallons bio balls for your 125 Gallon... I Wonder what some other members think... :)

Just fill it all up!

I used 5 gallons plus some srubbies for my 75 with big texan pair , now I'm making a 55 gallon tank into a wet dry for my 125 with 13 gallons bioballs plus pot srubbies, big midas and big flowerhorn

So did you do any research to come up with this volume of bio balls, or was it just what ya ended up with?
