How much carbon?

So i have a 150gal fresh, and i was going to start using filter bags. Putting my own carbon in it. I was wondering how much carbon I should use in it??

There's no reason to use carbon on a regular basis. If you really want to use a chemical media I'd suggest Seachem Purigen... It works better for water polishing than carbon does and you can use it over and over by recharging it with a bleach treatment.

But you don't NEED to use a chemical media for a healthy tank.

I would put SeaChem Matrix in the bags instead
