I was wanting to know the general concensus on how much water flow would be ideal for a brackish set up. I have heard you should have enough filtration to turn the water over 10 times per hour and I have also heard that 4 to 5 times per hour is adequate. Aside from the issue of how much you are stocking the tank with, what is a good rate of flow?

Well I don't know too much about circulation (I just use sponge filters) but I do know that it could depend upon what kind of brackish set up it is. If it has something like bumblebee gobies, which come from brackish rivers, you'd want some water movement. If it's something that comes from an estuary, there would be less water movement. There are other brackish environments, but I don't know off the top of my head how much water movement there is in them.
