Hey everyone,

I'm preparing one of my 75gs for growing out 3 to 5 Vittatus I'll hopefully be picking up within the month, and I'm wondering how many gph my powerhead(s) should have for said size tank? ~1000, ~1500 or more? I also have 2 smaller Bichirs in the tank. Would appreciate the input as I don't want to blow them away, yet provide adequate stimulation for them!

thanks guys!

Flow isn’t necessary. Some have reported bad experience with flow and a better experience without it

Don’t bother with a high flow tank. Also the bichirs will definitely not like the high flow. Your vatfs will be fine with low / medium flow. Having said that, imo having a high flow environment for them will make them concentrate on not getting blown away Instead of fighting with each other. I’d recommend trying both ways and tuning the tank for your specific fish.
