how much do black arowanas cost?

im thinking of buying me some black arowanas for my 55 gallon tank...
i seen some black arowanas for $300 when they are a foot long.
how much are they when they are just 4 inches?

$300 for foot longers is a little above average, but you tank is waaaay to small for these guys

the cheapest I've ever seen a black arowana sell for is $150 or so. Typically, they come in a bit larger than silvers, and will quickly outgrow a 55.

tongs in whittier. it was in the silver aro tank, and it had the tag for 50 bucks. i told the guy it was a black aro rite after i told him i wanted him. the lady got mad cuz she wanted 90 bucks for it but i told her the dude told me 50. also it was in pretty bad shape, so i took it in and now i have him in a 60g.

i couldn't believe it for 50 bucks. usually these beautiful fish go out for 100 buck easily.
