It's about two inches long and I've been feeding mostly a mix of partially crushed Hikari and Wardley cichlid pellets.

My only problem is that the fish is always hungry. I don't want to overfeed it, but I know it needs to eat frequently because it's growing.

I'm not completely inept, but I haven't had a baby oscar in a long time...

When my O's were babies, I fed them about 5 to 6 very small feedings per day. If they get small amounts more often they will grow to be monsters in no time.

i do a feeding in the morning and one in the night... just make sure if you feed him alot that hes not spitting any out... O always seem hungry... and grow fast

Something else you could feed him would be the Tubifex worm cubes. I've got an Oscar and a few other cichlids and that's part of their regular diet. Since he's still a baby you can take one of those cubes and stick it to the inside of your tank. Otherwise just break one up into small pieces.

feed a good diet, oscars grow and they need a lot of food, i hand feed mine grumpy baby...i got it @ 1 inch now hes 6 and that is only 3 months...i feed him blood worms, last night he ate 15 rosies (hehehehe) and than cilchild pellets...and yes he green peas

Do oscars eat brine shrimp??

I used to feed my Oscar about 3-4 times a day when he was small. As he got larger (7"), I just fed him 1-2 times a day.

I have a 5 inch Oscar, I got him at two inches about 6-7 weeks ago. I feed him 3 times a day. I feed him hikari gold pellets as well as tetra cichlid pellets along with freeze dried crickets and mysis shrimp twice a week.
