How much do scorpion fish cost

My honest opinion? Ask your LFS how much certain species would be if they had them, and if it's within your price range, ask if they're getting any in soon. Or you can always look online. TMartinez provided a link to a very good website.
I love liveaquaria, its a good website and all but let me forwarn you; their shipping costs are kinda outrageous (30+ dollars). You're better off going to your local fish store and seeing if they have any and if they don't, ask if they can order one for you.

Live Aquaria is good if you're looking to make either a mass purchase, or a big purchase. I believe they offer free shipping on any order over $225 (someone correct me if I'm wrong), so unless you plan on purchasing a lot or something expensive, it may not be worth it.
Yeah Liveaquaria.com does fish orders over 225 shipped for free, so if you are part of a club and want to order, or have some friends, or just wanna buy alot (or expensive) stuff yourself then have at it. They do also offer free shipping over $60 on Build your own cleaner packs which I believe is a pretty good deal
Yes, but he just wants one fish. If he orders online, thats around 35 dollars for one fish PLUS another 30-35 dollars for shipping = around $70. That's why it doesn't make much sense to order it online, he could buy two at his LFS for that price.
