i bought my 2in monos for 9$ in SD tems are like 20-30$ and 12$ monos are anywere from 150$-250$ and tems are probs more. ive only seen a 14in tem and it was about 250$..

in my region well in our state or in our area...a 2" monoculus costs about $5-8...and $12-15 for a Temensis. As for a 12"er for a mono it costs about $95 and $125 for a 12" temensis

12 inch tem is around $150. Half that for Mono. The problem with tank raised tems is that they mostly have the 'banana' syndrome, meaning the tail portion is somewhat not inline with the body horizontally but tilting upward. I am not sure if overfeeding or cramped tank is the cause but it is sad to see them in that shape. Do an image search on google for tems and you will see some extremely 'banana' large tem. That is why I like them wild. PTC has some nice tems in a 10,000 gallon tank, they don't look 'banana' to me.

Saw that here as well. Is that banana syndrome could be geneticaly passed to offspring?

Only happens to Tem so my guess is as good as yours. You will also notice tank kept tem have smaller eyes than wild ones. I have no freaking idea why is that so. that is why some guys are so crazy about wild fish.Even an introduced pbass (wild caught) looks better than a farmed one. See those florida Pbass and you will agree.

payed $50 each for my 2'' i think monos......first ones i have ever seen
