I just seen another thread in the P forum about how much do you feed and it got me wondering how much people feed their Sa/Ca when they are trieing to bulk them up.
I know it varies from all the different species that there are, but I used to have a friend that was very scientific about exactley how much he fed his fish ( he explained it to me but I was young and really didn't pay attention ), he would weigh out precise amounts of fish fillet, shrimp, scallops, night crawlers , ect.
I remember he had said that by feeding this way it insured optimum growth and coloration of his fish also.
He passed away a few years ( car wreck, hit but a drunk driver as he was going home from a church play) ago and have not heard anything else about the formula he was telling me about...
he kept a wide variety of cichlids , oscars, jags, jd, midas/rd, gt.... nothing super rare or very fancy really but I remember that all his fish always looked healthy and had great coloration and was wondering if any one else goes into as much detail as he did by weighing everything out and feeding precise amounts of certain foods like he did ...
I know its a long shot and honestley sounds a lillte crazy but I figured by posting this on here it would be acceptable since most of us here are borderline crazy when it comes to the care and well being of our fish.
