how much does it cost to feed one 1' pbass per month?

its really up to you, and when u feel ur fish is full. u could feed him 2 shrimp per day. or 1 a day. or 3 every other day. or feed him 10 shrimp once a week. considering 1lb of shrimp is only 3.99, and you get like 30 pieces, should last a little while

Problem is 1' bass turns into a 1'6" bass and then 2' bass.. but ethnics is right shrimp should be fairly cheap. I would think at 12" you should be safe feeding him every other day. But ultimately it's up to when he's full, and how often you feed.

I mainly feed catfish "nuggets," because they're $1.76/lb at walmart most of the time. I would think that a 12" pbass might eat around 1lb per week maybe a little less, but as cg said, he won't be 12" for long and he will be continuously needing more food. My biggest pbass, about 18" can eat about 1/4lb in one sittind I would guess. If I fed him multiple times a day I would think he could double that.

couple of LARGE goldies a week will do him...maybe sum Beefheart on the other days..shouldnt cost u much

$11.99 for two lbs??? That's $6 a pound! I can get them on sale for $2.99/lb.. but catfish is still way cheaper. I wouldn't really think that a couple of large goldies is the way to go. My 12" pbass could eat 2 or 3 a day.

You can get market shrimp from costco or sams club for $11.99 per two pounds.

That's actually not that cheap from shrimp but that's probably large/jumbo shrimp.. smaller medium size you can get for like 3.99/lb most places..

we splurge on the jumbo shrimp sometimes.. mostly we buy the 61-70 shrimp for $4 lb. And catfish nuggets for $1.80 lb. And we still buy frozen krill at the LFS for about $12 lb. but it's getting too small for the bigger peacock bass now, so we're not using as much of it. The chicken breast strips are about $1 lb, and beef heart is about $.50 lb. chicken hearts are cheaper yet, because we steal them out of the whole chickens we eat ourselves or feed to the dogs, so the hearts for the fish end up being free.
