I am looking on mazanita.com and they have some awesome pieces for sale at good prices. I am setting up my 180 in 2 weeks and really want to get some of this for my tank. I've looked online and it says it does leach, but not alot, and only for a short amount of time. My question is how much does it leach and how bad? Its a light colored wood so I can imagine it being too bad, so if it turns the water a little yellow for a while thats fine, but if its gonna get dark brown and really mess up my water quality (ph) I will of course soak it. I know I should soak it regardless, but I just want to get it in my tank. Also anyone order DW from that site? If so have you been happy with what you received?

i ordered mine from manzanitaman on here. Its great stuff, looks good and i havent noticed any leaching really. does take a little while to sink without tying it down there, (although i just postitioned mine how i like it and let it float in place).

So all in all yes its worth it, in my eyes. Cheaper than the malaysian wood unless they dont sell it by the pound. bigger and i think it looks good too.
do it

Definitely check out manzman's stock... looks much better than whats on that site, i haven't ordered from manzman but i plan to eventually and know somebody who got a couple pieces that they're very happy with

cool will do...noob question...how do I look at his stuff?

NVM I found it

I ordered from manza man, it does leech, but with weekly water changes, it is not that bad. Sometimes you will see a "fur" like buildup growing on it, but it is not harmful and you can just vacuum it off.
