just curious how much epson salt do you or can you add to a freashwater tank? i have read different amounts 1 teaspoon per 10 gallons and also 1 tablespoon per 10 gallons.. trying to get a 1 1/2" fish to start eating again.. treating internal parasites . again sorry for all the dumb questions

I add 1 tbsp per 10 gallons as well. I notice a great change in the behavior of my fish when I add it as well.

As an altunative to the above Epsome Salt may be used as a purgitive to clear the digestive tract you could add 1 tablespoon per gallon premixed in warm water and added to a 5 gal bucket of tank water. Place the fish in the bucket of Epsome Salt soultion for 15-20 mins watch for any signs of distress. If your fish have IPs you may also wish to treat with Metro. I wouldn't add Epsome Salt directly to the tank.
