i have a 90g with 5 piranahas, in it they are only about 3inches. my question is how much filtration do i need to put on it. right now i have a fluval 405 and b bio wheel 330. i also have a magnum 330 that i could put on there. what should i put in as far as media.

I guess u could say your tank is overstocked if u follow the 20g per piranha rule but I guess u could get away with it. Anyways....u at least want a 10x turnover rate for your tank so that's 900g per hour for you but you may want a little more depending on what and how much you feed them. Try to shoot for a higher number because there is no harm in over filtration on MFK....
I dont think your over stocked yet. If they are just 3inches you will be fine for a while before you have to worry about being overstocked.
I had just a magnum350 and a penguin biowheel 330 on my 125 and then added a 405 to it as well.
If you have the magnum just sitting around not being used just throw it on if you want some extra filtration. Otherwise I think your fine with the fluval and penguin
