HOW much for a FX5??

Living in Japan, has its up's and down's..
You can get whatever fish you want...no ban here!
but on the hardware side of things can get a bit pricey... especially if they are imports...

I am looking for a new canister and they have just released the fx5 over here, so i thought i would check it out..boy was i in for a shock?!...540us$
that is just a tad crazy i think..seeing a eheim pro 3 is around 360us$.

So, for sure no fx5 for me this time around!

I was looking at an FX5 as well. It's definitely bigger than I need for my current tank, but it wouldn't hurt. Around here they are around $300 I believe

There are sellers here who might be able to ship the package to you. Better pm them and see if its worth the shipping cost. If its $540, I say its definitely worth it t pay to have it shipped to you from the land of Stars and Stripes.

Try johnPTC if he's out or can't shipp that far try ebay there is a seller on there called pond passions outlet I have bought two FX5s and one 305 from this seller. and neither of my FX5s were over 190US shipped. and they got to me pretty fast. Not likl to be that case with you though living so far away.

My local stores are seeling it for around $300. I got mine on eBay for $149.00 plus shipping. The whole thing came out to $182. I am very pleased. I got mine from Pond Passions Outlet on eBay.

if the eheim pro 3 is cheaper i would get it, i have 3 fx5s myself and they are a good filter but the pro 3 is better.

That's what i thought as well....so i will properly go for the pro3.

IMO the FX5 Is the best for mechanical filtration. (what I really use it for) then I just load all three media baskets with bio media. And I'm off. lol but I have never owned a pro 3 and more then likly never will.
