Would transparent or translucent leaves be a sign of iron deficiency?

Not necessarily, if anything I think it would be a sign of a macro nutrient deficiency.
What kinda plant, and pics at all? Also, how is your lighting and the rest of your tank specs?

The amazon swords seem to be hit the hardest. I have one 36" unidentified bulb that came with the light when I bought it and one 24" 10000k

10000 k is the wrong spectrum for plants, depending on the other bulb and tank size, you might need to get some t5 hos

I used flourite for my substrate in my planted tank and my plants grew like weeds, they had great lighting too of course.

Amazon swordplants are heavy feeders. Get some root tabs or plant sticks (fertilizer).

Just because nobody answered this question: yes, replace the 'unidentified bulb' with a 6500k bulb and you'll be off and running. I have plenty of success with 6500k/10000k running in tandem.
