Where there is sunshine
Hey guys,
Long story short..I'm planning to sell my 240gal tank...Its acryllic 72 X 24 X 24 with a silver aro (9"), three flag tails (6"), 2 silver dollars (5"), one rhino pleco(6"), one musk turtle (6") and one motoro ray (8").
The tank is acryllic trueVU with NO scratches and two bio wheel filters (emperors), two 300 watt stealth heaters and undergravel filters with two powerheads.
Cherry oak stand and canopy.

How much do you guys think it is worth?

Well for the tank maybe £300 and for the fish maybe £100-400 and for the filters ect £150?

72x24x24=41,472/231=179.53246 you got a 180G not 240.
hope this helps you out I bought my used 225G tank(72x24x30)(stand,tank,)
for $700.00.

I'd say for everything around $1,000-$1,500.

"quote your signature"--->2 X 8" Silver Dollars man where did you find silver dollars that big? would you sell them,what city state you in?

Ya your dimensions are off for a 240g. Alot will depend on your location as to how much your tank is worth.

Sorry it's not 72 inches. It's eight feet long that is 96 inches.

Thats it!! thats crazy!

If you look on glass cages you can get the entire setup new for $1400 new, but that would be glass. I'm not sure if there is any real benefit to the tank for being acrylic at that small of a size. It would make it nice, because it would be a bit lighter, but 240s are manageable to move. GL with selling it.

Thanks dude...But I think I will not sell it now. Since I was expecting atleast $2k for it...It will not help me in with my finances if I sell it for $1.5k...

I got a $1200 quote on a brand new glass 240 and that's not drilled or anything. I'd say you'd be throwing it out the window if you started out trying to sell it at anything below $1500. The lowest I'd probably take would be $800 and that would be if I was desperate.
