I have a motoro ray and I was wondering how many earthworms should they get a day? My main problem is that there is also a silver aro and a parron in the tank and the all like the worms too. They get a mixture of aquadine pellets in the morning and right now I have been choping up about 5 earth worms a day which usually makes about 15 bite size pices. They also get ghost shrimp and black worms once a week sometimes more. They just always act like they are starving. Do they need more? Thanks :)

Im at school during the week so my family feeds my ray, prolly about 7-8 Dillies go in the tank, but my 2 NTT's , 4 Geo's, can get to them faster.
When Im home i give them like 3 Dillies every 5 hours... EAT EAT EAT

between my 2 rays now and my other fish i feed 24 night crawlers a day unless i get lucky and can stuff the other fish with pellets then my rays get about 6 a piece maybe more pends on my mood

When I had my rays, I would feed them until they started to get a buldge, and then I stopped, and that was with all food, even worms. Or I would give them smaller meals a couple times a day.

But like David said it is really hard to overfeed a ray, unless you are trying to that is.

Thanks for all of the input. My ray def. looks nice and plump but he just always acts so hungry, good to know I am feeding about the same as everyone else.

As long as the ray has a little buldge it should be fine. A healthy ray would probably eat until it bursts.

I always went by " a hungry ray is a happy ray" then again rays are always hungry, but you get my drift.

It sounds like you are doing a good job, so I wouldn't be to concernd.

I agree... as long as they have a pronounced hump , then you know that you are feeding them well and often enough. Once or twice a day should be good.
