How much my tank changed

I gotta force myself not to change things around every couple days.
I was looken through some pics and it was kind of cool to see how lame it started.

sweet tank, im dont like changing my tank alot. lol once i found something i like i stick with it. but im not done with my tanks yet lol.

Had it to a point when pretty much all the rocks were covered with this awsome green algea...then one of my striplights went down and I lost pretty much all of it. Thats why the last picture is darker than the rest...Man, that bummed me out. I moved the tank to it's old spot in the living room where it got a ton of sunlight and used to grow real nice algea, (that was when I was only using one light like I am now) but all I can get to grow is brown algea...any Idea's how to turn this crap green? Thanx for the replies people.
