How much pellets should i feed my flowerhorn?

Hey i have a 8 inch flowerhorn and i feed him hikari cichlid bio gold as a daily diet with a little bit of hikari gold and staple. I feed him 8-10 medium size pellets a day and he gets 2 feeding a day ( in total 16-20 pellets a day).

Is this alright of feeding or should i decrease feeding or increase?

How big and how old is he, what size tank is he in, how are the water conditions and how fast do you want him to grow?

What you are feeding sounds allright, but the above factors can change that determination.

edit jut read that he is 8 inches, I think youre ok, is he full after the feedings?

SOunds about right, but on the lower end of what I would feed. If you want him to grow to his greatest size potential, I would feed about 50% more.
He will be just as healthy with your current feeding regime, but just may not grow as much.

I am assuming that you are using the Hikari "medium" sized pellets.
