I am very interested in getting a Rainbow Wolf Fish, I was talking to the only store where I am that's remotely close to being exotic and they said they could order one for around $60 maybe less? Would this be a good deal or could I do better? Also if anyone has one that the could post a picture of that would be awesome!

Rainbow wolves, red wolves, high fin wolves and purple wolves are all variants of Erythrinus erythrinus. There's a few more variants out there, too. I think you're in the ball park for what you can expect to pay, but some of the less common variants could probably cost quite a bit more.

Also, I edited your title for clarity and moved the thread to Other Characins.

how big is it. Stores around me routinely have them from 25 to 35 for two to three inches an upwards of 50 for larger specimens. aquascape and rt 4 could ship you one but with shipping doubt you would save any money

the price for ery ery or ery perus are ranged from 30 to 50 dollars at approx 3 to 4 inches. Not sure about the tahuyo rivers and the kessileris but they are often mislabled as the common red wolves.

To the Hoboken guy, Im local too, Sharks Aquarium has Jumbo solid 5" + fat high fin wolves for 49.99 Honestly a fair price. I'll take a photo of mine i picked up. I'm working on a setup for it as we speak.
