How much sand for a 180?

Hey guys,

I'm still in the planning stages here, but just wondered if anybody would know how much sand would be right for a standard 180 (6x2x2).

I was thinking two 50 pound bags of pool filter sand should do it without being too thick a layer?

Use the very last calculator on that page. It'll tell you how many lbs you need given your dimensions and depth required. I wouldn't recommend any more than .5-1".

Ha! A one inch layer for my dimensions comes up to 98 pounds of sand, so looks like my 100 pound estimate was pretty good!
