How much should I expect to pay for...?

I'm looking at another mono a friend has that is interested in a possible sell. It is around 12-14 inches and is a beauty. He said to "make him an offer" What should that offer be? It is healthy and a beauty. Just not sure what a mono of this size usually goes for. Any suggestions? Thanks!
