I just a new arowana for my 150 gallon tank. He is about 6 inches. I'm feeding him crickets and he is also eating frozen krill. How much should I feed him and how often? Right now I give him about 5 crickets a day. Thanx for the help

there is a risk of contracting disease thru live foods.if yours is still young you can still train it to take pellets or frozen food.feed him everyday to maintain his appetite.if not he might not accept other foods you give him in future.i think at 6 inches ur feeding him too little,try feeding him at least twice a day.

Getting them to eat pellets is best for nutrition. Crickets are better used as a once a week treat, first gutload the crickets by letting them eat a carrot befroe offering to your aro.
Best to feed young aros small amounts more times aday instead of large amount once a day. I still feed my 7" black aro 4 or 5 times aday.
