About a month ago i purchased my first "monster fish", two Colombian sharks (arius seemani). When i first bought them those free aquadine "flakes" couldn't fit in their mouths, and just recently i've noticed that they are almost able to stuff an entire "flake" into their mouths. Which leads me to the question, how do you gauge the appropriate amount to feed your growing monsters?

when i first got them(about 3") , they didn't have any kind of a stomach to them, now their bellies are rounded(about 4"). am i feeding them too much? was the store not feeding them enough?

thank you in advance!

feed them till they can't swim JK just feed them till you feal like theve had enough if it looks like they ate a marble then thats a little to much but don't worrie its hard to make a catfish over weight

also those cats need salt in there water

I agree with that. They'll stop eating when they are full. The more salt you have in the water the bigger they get. The biggest one I have ever seen was kept in a salt water tank.

yes, i've noticed a huge difference in their growth, since i've kept them in brackish. At the moment i'm working on putting together their permanent salt water tank.

the only day that i think i feed them too much is "bloodworm day" (or saturday), their bellies get quite large. It is really entertaining to watch them "hunt" for food, so sometimes i get a little carried away.

thank you for the information
