I was wondering how much should I feed my fish.
It is a 220g tank (6X2.5X2) with a 60g sump. I have 1 X 14" Kelberi, 2 X 8" azuls, 2 X 5.5" tems. They all eat pellets. So far I have not come to the point where they stop eating. I feed little amounts of pellets throughout the day since my work desk is next to the tank and I am there all the time.

At the moment I feed every day. should I feed until they stop eating? If not how do I know when to stop?

Thanks for your feedback.

never feed them untill they stop eating, you should feed them a good amount. Portion are depending on how many times you feed them. People who feed their fish once a day will feed them large amount untill they'll belly is big. If you feed them 2-3 times a day they give them small portion.

I feed mine 2x a day...before I go to work and after work. Just remember to give them same portion every time. Also knowing your fish is good, some fish will eat till they die, some fish just wont stop eating.

Aside from a fish eating until it dies, what's the problem with feeding until they stop eating?

I've always fed until they stop eating. My current kelberi is the first fish I've ever had that doesn't completely stop itself from eating. I just got it two weeks ago and he was emaciated when I got him so I figure that he was had been under fed for most of his life, so any food he sees, he takes it. He fills his mouth and then spits pieces out. He knows he's full but he keeps grabbing food, then spits it out. My other fish eat until they're full and then stop eating. The only other concern with that IME is leaving uneaten food all over the tank. I feed at night and then turn the lights off so the catfish come out and clean up.
