How much to pay for breeding pair of zebras L46

What's the size to breed them at and can I breed them in a fish tank? And How hard is it to get a pair? How much should I expect to pay(average-good price)?

Thinking about breeding them for profit
 
nah. I think nobody gonna bjuy them anyway they are too expensive
 
I saw 2 in a lfs near me at the weekend around 1/2-3/4 inch for iro $220 each. I remember 10 years ago I'd see them often at around 2 inch for $75

I don't think a breeding pair of zebra plecos is the way to start unless you are an experienced Hypancistrus breeder. You stand the chance of having a couple of very expensive fish you don't see very often that don't breed for you.

While there is a good market for zebra pleco fry, there are reasons for their high price - low production and slow growth.

Ditto, you will basically be breaking even.
 
For my understanding, very hard to breed and determine sexes.
You'll need almost 7 adults to get a breeding pair.

And what is the Adult Max size? How long it take to reach adult size from egg with out missing a meal
 
About 4" max. They stay pretty small and are carnivores ..... They don't compete well for food either. Best in a species tank.
