How much do you think it will cost to have a newer Ford F-250 rear passenger window replaced? Long story but i ended up breaking this guys window and although it was partially his fault I have offered to pay for it and i'm wondering if you guys have any clue.

It was pretty crazy but it just completely shattered. If you really want to hear the story i could tell it but i want to know how much this is going to set me back.:nilly:

Wild guess, but 70-100 for glass, plus install, but thats jsut a guess i know i got the glass for my 99 chevy for about 75(used). and installed myself... But lets hear the story

I just got two online quotes for it from places around 37 miles away. One was $150 the other was slightly above $200. Kind of a relief as with around an 06-07 pickup with tint you'd think it would be above that...

Story, and keep in mind i am 16 years old.

Me and a couple of my friends are playing basketball and this other kid and a couple of his friends decide they are gunna play us, and its on a cement court but somehow its still muddy. We're playing and I'm getting kind of pissed because they keep shoving me into the fricken mud, but I just let it go as accidental and keep on playing. About half an hour into it they have to leave and the one kid just launches my basketball over the court fence into some yard and i straight up tell him he is getting my ball because thats just retarded.

So he starts walking to go get the ball, then he runs and jumps into his friends pickup and it sounds seriously retarded now, but at the time this just pissed me off, so i run and jump in the bed of the pickup and the driver keeps speeding up and slamming on the breaks, so i find an ice scrapper and start tapping on the window with it, and one of the kids puts the window down a little, so i shove the ice scrapper in and then the kid rolls up the window and it shatters, driver slams on the breaks and they all get out and look at it. I realize how stupid it was of me to get that pissed over what happened so i offer to pay for it.

Looking back i really don't know what i was thinking, and i'm also thinking its good the kid that threw the ball got into the truck because if i would have caught him i would have started swinging.

Stupid story eh? And its only going to cost me $150-$200. (if its over 200 he can {Editted by staff for poor choice of words} pay the rest as its not totally my fault) but i suppose memories are priceless.

Also now i'm not able to get a new tank so i'm going to have to clean house with the fish a little.

All in all not a bad way to spend $200, as the fat kid that threw the ball ended up getting cut by the broken glass and now nobody is going to {Editted by staff for poor choice of words} with my basketball again lol.

try calling junkyards and see if they have any. It isnt that that difficult to install a window, just two bolts that hold it in. Aligning it right is the difficult part.

I'd doubt a junkyard would have that new of a window, especially around here.

Youd be surprised, Just try if the trucks even a year old youll most likely be able to find a junk yard that has it or can get it.

That memory cost you $200 and is anything but priceless. With age comes patience and wisdom. . .next time just get their license plate # and call them in for drunk driving.

Some larger junkyards and pretty much online connections to used parts.. so some if they don't have it, can get it from someone else..

Although I would just take it somewhere have it done and be done with it..

For any wondering i got ripped off for $250, but feel much better now.

I guess next time i will just hafta get plate numbers.
