Some fish breed with regular weekly water changes. Sometimes a large water change during a storm (low pressure) front helps. Sometimes a water change with cooler water helps. You have to try different things. There is no answer that works for all fish. But in general, if your fish are healthy and conditioned well and you have good water quality, the fish will spawn.
