hey, i just purchased this fh for $65 after tax at my local lfs and i was wondering if i got tricked.
how much would u pay for this fish???

my honest opinion is I wouldn't buy it for that price and just a suggestion if you want to get a fh save some money and get a more nicer one cause in the end when you get a nicer one you will neglect that low grade one and have a hard time disposing it just my 2cents.
65bucks..If your happy with it then its worth it..but since you asked for an opinion my honest opinion is that its not worth..I bought this FH for $20 at my LFS..and later sold it for $40

I agree with Gage it does look on the malnutritioned side. I love the pearls on it. Feed it up good i do see some potential in it color wise get some chingmix for it

If it's adult female, it wasn't a bad deal, but you should fatten her up to bring out the colors. If it's a juvenile, you'll just have to wait and see.
Well since you already bought it just take good care of it and who knows maybe it will develope pretty nicely. I have seen other ppl w/ fhs that I wouldn't even take if it was free and it turned out really nice.
Raise this one and learn from it. like how much water change, feeding, temp etc so you will be ready for a higher quality one later.
It all comes down to if you like it or not. If you do, then its worth every penny. I have seen pictures of "master piece" fh and I dont like them. So it all personal preferance.

As far as you love the fish. I think you can turn him to a better fish with Good food (and enough )& clean water . Change water at least twice a month and add some salt. A good care of fish with turn him to better fish.
