How much would you buy a midas cichlid for?

$30 is a small amount of money if you like it and it makes happy then go for it. Even if the fish can be had for $10, in the grand scheme of things overpaying $20 is well worth having what you want versus continuously searching for possibly months just to save $20.

All depends on the likelihood of you getting something else like it for cheaper.

I once paid $35 for a juvie ellioti just because I loved the lil' bugger too much not to. Horribly overpriced, but hey.

So yes, if you REALLY want her, go for it. It's not like you're paying an extreme amount, like $100 or something. $30's still... alright.
