These EBJD's are simply the best looking ones I've ever seen.
Third generation of selective breeding. I went longways to try to select the most aggressive and sharp finned Blue males and best shaped and colored females. All the females were regular jd's. That results in less blue fry but the few ones you get are hardier than the ones you get with a blue gene female.
These are not skiddish like other EBJD's and swim around most of the time and will eat from my hand.
If anyone has a better looking strain I'd like you to post their picture.

Nice ebjd, particularly pics 2 and 4 as it has more gold and not a beak like the other one has. I wouldnt pay more than 50-60 for that one but he is free of deformities.
Here's mine

nice! Those are beautiful looking EBJD's! Keep us posted.

IMO, one true test of the EBJD's is to see what they look like at 6inches +. Many that attempt EBJD's never fully let the EBJD fully mature. Seen too many 3inch EBJD males breeding with 3inch JD females.

Mine are at 5 inches.. I won't breed them till their fully developed. They gotta be at least 2 years to breed them and get a good and viable fry..

They are brothers. Both are at 5 inches although one of them got bigger cause the other one had columnaris (mouth fungus) for 2 weeks once and almost died. He lost a lot of weight in the healing process. But he turned it around and both are doing great now..
