The un knowledgable would pay 5 -10 dollars.. Some hobbiests would probably ask you to pay them to take one.. There is a thread for adoption of big fish from those that bought and just cannot keep them for what ever reason...
zoo, I just don't think anyone would buy that fish. You can get them at wal-mart for $4-5 at 3 inches and they will be that size in no time at all! Good luck though. The only pacus I have seen on here were either free or very cheap for a large sized one! I think mine is gonna be a $3 feeder soon. He just won't leave my other fish alone and unfortunately I don't have a seperate tank for him. I hope he won't get eaten buy my big catfishes and grows huge, but I kinda doubt it!
invite your "bestest friend" for some fish barbeque. Just don't let them see you "not eating".
I bet you they will say "This is a delicious fish!, what kind is it!?"
