How not to release a bear

"We don't need to fasten the cage to the truck. It's not like the bear could pull the cage down... Ooops!"
I guess the photo we don't see is the other ranger shooting the bear? so much for the release program...
When I let bears go from the bed of my truck, I make sure there's always somebody in the driver's seat ready to drive away.
Also the bear wasn't shot because he bit the ranger's leg. If you look at the second to last pic you can see the bear was clearly going for his gun.

Holy crap that is funny! Poor fellar but damn talk about your all time backfires. I bet he messed his pants real good by the time pic #4 was taken!
i seen some park rangers doin the same type of release on TV...the bears supposed to run out and dogs are released to chase the bear into the deep woods....guess this bear wanted to chill a little while
