How often do Festivums Breed?

I’m contemplating buying a breeding pair of wild caught Peruvian Festivums I have came across to be my 90 gallons centrepiece. The other two biggest fish that I’m going to get will be a Striped or Spotted Raph Cat and a Half Banded Spiny Eel. I’m hoping I can rehome fry to an LFS but that depends how often they breed. How often will I get a new batch of babies from my Festivums?

It depends on how long you leave the fry with the parents. Like angels and discus, Mesonauta can spawn every 7 - 10 days if you keep removing eggs and wrigglers. Of course they have to be happy and comfortable to do this. Some pairs spawn rarely or not at all, depending on factors like water quality, tank placement (quiet area vs. high traffic area), tankmates, etc.
