Unless my fish are fully grown adults, I feem them pretty much every day. Usually once a day unless I'm powerfeeding new fish, then I feed 2 or 3 times a day.

I know a lot of people feed less, maybe every other day.

How often do you feed and why?

Oh and I'm talking strictly predators.

every 2-3 days fish, rays everyday

my 180 tank is getting food every three days. because they consume 1/4 lb market shrimp every other feeding. (need to make them hungry a little bit before feeding again):D

my 60 tank gets three feedings every day... 8 frozen cubes of blood worm (am), flakes (afternoon), and krills (pm). water change is done every other day.. 70-80%.:D

my 10 tank gets feeding twice a day... live blood worm and market shrimps. (power feeding to make them grow fast and join them in my 180 tank). Water change is done 25-30% every other day.:D

Are the water changes due to the power feeding? I know some have said that constant water changes with heavy feeding is key. Is that why you are doing that?

In my 100g, I lose about 5 gallons of water every 4 days. The dehumidifier sucks everything up in my basement. I'm thinking of doing 15% changes a week.

I do not have anything big so I feed once or twice a day; flakes, pellets, blood worms, krill, brine shrimp, or earth worms.

If you were to test my nitrates, you would think I feed 10 pounds of pure cow flesh every hour and threw 20 pounds of chum in every 15 minutes, but... I feed very little once a day and I think that is even too much.I think I need to feed them diet pills and make them wear diapers.

yup.. i'm making the fishes grow fast and really fast. they have improved a 30-50% increase in size in just as little as 2 months. specially the 4 exotic fish i have in my 60 gal tank (can't spell the name). :D i don't check my water parameters anymore since it has two aqua 50 powerhead, UGF, 2 Airstones Rena 400 Air Pump and an xp3. i don't need to check on it. my bichirs on the 10 gal are also growing fast. but since they are in the 10 gal i think it doesn't have as much potential to grow as the one's in the 60 gal.:D

That is why every is doing massive water changes. I am fine doing 25-30% every 3 days or so.
