how often do you feed your Tanganyikan cichlids in a community setting?

Hi. I've been feeding them 2x per day (flake and pellet) but am wondering if its too much (its fun to watch them eat). I know you can feed more often if feedings are light but i worry that all fish don't get enough with light feedings as my Cryptosomas seem to gobble quickly near surface. Thanks!
