How old do piranha's get

they can live for many years and easily 10+ but in ideal conditions with a very healthy fish probably a lot longer than that.
 
thats why alot of fish are sold to multiple people throughout their lives before they die of old age
 
I raised a black phiranna from a fry to an almost 2 foot monster. He was 15 years old when he died under a familly members care during a power outage.

im just saying not many people want to keep the same fish for 15 years
how big was he when he died?
 
Yea I have heard that a guy kept his for like 30 years before it bit the dust. They are one of the only fish that lasts that long in a tank. . . . cool huna!
