Are you kidding me! So if you have a couple of 5 year olds, than they might last for many years.

they can live for many years and easily 10+ but in ideal conditions with a very healthy fish probably a lot longer than that.

Some will live up to 30 years if properly kept. I heard there is a record something like a 37 year old natereri.

Yea I have heard that a guy kept his for like 30 years before it bit the dust. They are one of the only fish that lasts that long in a tank. . . . cool huna!
