I would say over 3 years, there backs do not start humping like that till later in life from what i have seen.
 
get a pick with dorsal up?
 
If it's been in the 55 for some time it's possible it might just stop growing or take really long. The blush on the gill plate definitely looks female.

from first pick i would say female. males lose most of the banding, females keep it and are darker. also males form a streamer on their dorsal and anal fins. as to females do not. all in all males allot more colorful and larger.
