How old is an eight inch leopoldi?

I've had my female leo for 2 years. She was 8 inches when I got her and she's 12-13 inches now. She's started getting fat lately and I'm wondering if she's old enough to get pregnant. She's grown a lot slower than my female motoros. How old do you think she was when I got her?

Depends on how she was fed, but i would think around 1 year. She should probably have bin a bit bigger now after 3 years in that case. Im not very known to leopoldies, but as ive read they are pretty much the same as motoro exept for coloration.
 
I've read that motoros grow fast and leos grow slow. I was wondering what MFK-ers have experienced. By the way, she's in a 1000 gallon indoor pond and she eats well.
 
i have had leo born at 6inch disk

by the darkness and thickness of her disk she could have been 7-10 months old the darkness and thinkness of the disk gets thick as they age
 
Cool, that is very low nitrate but it rules out stunting...thanks for posting. I guess it comes down to genetics, previous tank size and food supply.
